This is a neighborly supper club for folks who share a love for good food that comes from the ground. We'll take turns cooking up plant-based meals for smallish groups in and around the south end. Whenever possible, we'll source seasonal, local and organic ingredients. Hosts may ask their guests to bring something to supper (a salad, a loaf of bread, a bottle of wine). This is a casual group who likes to make and share hearty, healthful food. Eaters of all kinds welcome.
Some of the produce we eat travels an average of 1,400 miles from farm to plate. Food has to be picked and transported for days before they reach peak ripeness, compromising their taste and nutrition. Conventional methods of monocultural food production use large amounts of chemical pesticides and fertilizers that can also end up on our plates.
